Forum per la Finanza Sostenibile
(Italian Forum for Sustainable Finance)
The Forum per la Finanza Sostenibile is a multi-stakeholder organisation created in 2001 with the purpose to promote dialogue among actors interested in the topic of sustainable development from a financial perspective. The approach is twofold: on the one hand, the Forum aims to provide operators with practical tools to enable them to handle the concrete dimension of sustainability in the financial investment sector (capacity building). On the other hand, the Forum acts as a virtual place where financial institutions can meet stakeholders and compare information and different points of view to gain a multiple perspective. The Forum is a non-profit association, whose members are financial institutions, governmental and non-governmental organisations. It belongs to the Eurosif network, supported by the EU Commission.
Forum current programmes are:
- Futuro di Valore: a long term programme with the mission of increasing the knowledge, the awareness and the ability to manage socially responsible investments by institutional investors.
- Financial Education: a 3-year information programme for individual savers and investors on the basics of finance
- Microfinance: a feasibility study for the first Microfinance Italian investment fund
- Finance, globalisation and sustainability: innovative tools for Italian finance institutions
- Lobby
